1. Court Infrastructure

Professional Badminton Flooring System

A. PVC Professional Sports Flooring (Mainstream Commercial Choice)

· Specifications: Total thickness ≥ 4.5mm (Tournament grade: 5.0mm – 7.0mm), with a wear-resistant layer of at least 1.5mm.

· Core Structure: Must include a high-density double-layer fiberglass mesh stabilization layer to prevent flooring deformation caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

· Surface Texture: Litchi pattern (strong grip), sand pattern (high durability), or gem pattern (professional look), ensuring a friction coefficient between 0.4 and 0.7.

B. Wooden Flooring + PVC Overlay (Premium / Tournament Configuration)

· Structural Layers: Grade-A solid Maple/Birch top panel + elastic shock pads + pine subfloor + double-layer joist system.

· Standards: The entire system must pass the international DIN 18032-2 shock absorption standard (force reduction ≥ 53%) to maximize knee and joint protection.

C. Interlocking Suspended Flooring (Multi-functional / Youth Training)

· Features: Made of eco-friendly Polypropylene (PP) material. It features integrated drainage and thermal expansion joints, making it ideal for high-traffic, high-wear training courts or semi-outdoor setups.

 

Court Marking & Layout Optimization

 

· Marking Standards: Line width must be exactly 50mm, painted with professional, wear-resistant polyurethane paint in white or yellow.

· Spatial Layout & Buffer Zones:

· International Court Size: 13.4m × 6.1m.

· Safety Buffer Zones (Critical): The distance between two adjacent courts must be ≥ 1.2m. The distance from the baseline to the wall or any obstacle must be ≥ 1.5m (2.0m recommended). The total footprint allocated for a single court should ideally be planned at 15m × 7.5m to prevent injuries from wall collisions or player interference.

 

Clear Height System

 

· Height Classifications:

· Recreational/Amateur: ≥ 8m

· Commercial/Operational: ≥ 9.5m

· Professional Tournament: ≥ 12m

· Obstruction Avoidance Principles:

· Zero Obstruction: Roof trusses, fire pipelines, and ventilation ducts must run parallel to the outer sidelines of the courts. They are strictly prohibited from hanging low directly above the courts.

· Anti-Glare Ceiling Spray: The ceiling and roof grid should be spray-painted in a dark matte color (e.g., deep charcoal, dark forest green, or black) to prevent the white shuttlecock from blending into the background.

2. Badminton Equipment

Net Post & Net System

 

· Net Post Systems:

· Movable Net Posts: Minimum single-side counterweight of 120kg, equipped with high-elasticity polyurethane wheels to prevent scratching the PVC floor during relocation.

· In-Ground Net Posts (Premium Recommendation): Utilizes pre-embedded floor sleeves. This leaves the floor completely flush and obstruction-free when removed, and uses a heavy-duty tensioning mechanism to keep the net perfectly taut.

· Professional Nets:

· Made of premium nylon twine with a mesh size of 15mm – 20mm (ensuring the shuttlecock cannot pass through). The top of the net is bound with a 75mm double-layer white canvas tape, reinforced internally with a heavy-duty steel cable.

· Height Standards: 1.55m at the posts, and .524m at the center of the court.

 

Umpire & Tournament Technical Equipment

 

· Basic Layout: High-chair umpire stands (eye-level ≥ 1.55m) and manual flip scoreboards.

· Digital Upgrades:

· Court-Specific LCD Scoreboards: Mounted on net posts or court-side, synced with the venue's mini-program/app to support self-service scoring for players.

3. Sports Lighting System

LED Professional Sports Lighting Layout

 

· Layout Design (Top-down direct lighting is strictly prohibited): Must utilize a side-lighting array (parallel string lights). The fixtures should be mounted at a height of ≥ 6m, directing light diagonally downward onto the courts.

· Core Metrics:

4. Spectator Seating

Modular Space Design

 

· Telescopic Seating Systems (Commercial Standard): Motorized retractable bleachers that fold flat against the wall when nested (occupying only ~1m of depth) to maximize daily operational space. They automatically extend to transform the venue into an event arena during tournaments.

· Constructed from blow-molded High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) hollow seats, offering UV stabilization, high impact resistance, and flame-retardant properties.

 

5. Audio and Display Systems

· LED Central Display / Court Arrays: High-definition P3-grade LED screens installed at the ends of the hall for displaying real-time club tournament brackets, venue advertisements, or live match feeds.

· Acoustics & Sound Absorption: Large sports halls are prone to heavy echoes (excessive reverberation time).

· Wall Treatment: Walls at a height of 3m and above should be lined with perforated wooden or fiberglass acoustic panels to keep the reverberation time (RT) under 1.8 seconds.

· Audio Layout: Distributed multi-point professional sports speakers ensure that coach whistles and event announcements are crisp and clear without generating deafening echoes.
